A low growing herb with flattened stems and masses of deep blue to purple flowers with yellow centres. This lovely plant flowers from winter through to summer in full sun for maximum flowering, or part shade. It grows in a variety of well-drained soil types, including sandy loam, gravelly loam and clay loam. It will benefit from light pruning to encourage new shoots to appear from the rootstock and form larger clumps. Ideal to plant with other low growing species with contrasting flower colours, in rockeries, as borders, in pots and spilling over small embankments. Origin – common throughout the South-west and western Wheatbelt in Jarrah forest, Karri forest and Wandoo woodland.
