A low growing shrub with silvery-green slender stems and leaves and masses of delicate blue to mauve fan flowers. This delightful plant flowers from spring to early summer in full sun or part shade, and prefers some summer moisture. It grows to 0.5m tall in a variety of well-drained soil types, including sandy loam, gravelly loam, sandy clay and clay loam. It will benefit from light pruning after flowering to encourage new suckers to appear from the rootstock and form larger clumps.
