Darwinia citriodora – Lemon-scented Darwinia – Prostrate

$8.00

A hardy and attractive low shrub with rows of blue-green rounded leaves and unusual yellow-orange to red flowering bells. It looks stunning in full bloom and fits into any garden setting, adding a pleasant lemon scent, and flowers from autumn through to summer. This prostrate form of this species grows to 0.4m tall and can be pruned to keep a tidy shape and encourage more flowering. It prefers to grow in clay loam, gravelly loam and sandy loam in open or semi-shaded positions. Kangaroos do not eat this plant, so it is also ideal for hobby blocks and bush restoration. Origin – granite and dolerite outcrops and laterite ridges in jarrah forest and woodland.
