Eremophila glabra – Kalbarri Carpet

Prostrate shrub with thick grey leaves and attractive yellow to orange tubular flowers. A hardy plant that provides wonderful colour contrast with the grey leaves and colourful flowers over a long period from autumn to early summer. It grows in a variety of soils including sandy loam, sandy clay, clay, gravelly clay loam, rocky, limestone and reaches 0.3m tall and up to 2m wide. Flowers best in full sun, tolerates frost and drought and attracts nectar feeding birds. Low maintenance and a good ground cover for borders, in rockeries and low shrubberies. Origin – Rangelands
