Eremophila maculata – Pink Passion

Medium shrub with narrow, fresh green leaves and vibrant tubular flowers with prominent spots on the lower lip. A hardy desert plant that flowers prolifically over a long period from winter to summer. The flowers and buds are held on long S-shaped fine stalks and are well displayed. It grows up to 1.2m tall in a variety of heavier soils including sandy clay, clay, gravelly clay loam and loam that can be alkaline to slightly acidic. Flowers best in full sun, tolerates frost and drought and attracts nectar feeding birds. Low maintenance, tip prune occasionally to encourage new growth. Origin – Rangelands and desert.
