A medium, dense shrub with soft, dark green, simple broad leaves and prolific clusters of red spider flowers. This attractive shrub establishes quickly and flowers for most of the year. It grows from 1.5 to 2m high and 1.5m wide in full sun, and attracts honeyeaters. It looks softer and more lush than many other Grevilleas so it can blend in to European gardens with ease. It tolerates light frost and drought and grows best in full sun, but can tolerate light dappled shade. Some protection from strong wind may be beneficial. It grows naturally in shallow, poor soils around rock outcrops and in moist, but well-drained gullies and can adapt to gravelly loam and heavier gravelly clay loam. It is low maintenance, with occasional pruning to maintain a more compact form. Origin – south coast New South Wales.
