Guichenotia macrantha – Large-flowered Guichenotia

A medium, open shrub with soft, velvety grey-green leaves and large crepey pink flowers with dark maroon centres. This shrub grows to 1.5m high and prefers some shade but will tolerate full sun and is frost and drought tolerant. The gorgeous clusters of flowers look lovely against the greyish foliage. It flowers from autumn to spring and grows on a variety of soils including sand over clay, sandy loam, clay loam and gravelly soils. Tip prune after flowering to maintain shape. Origin – central and northern wheatbelt sandplains, laterite breakaways and hills.
