Melaleuca conothamnoides

A low to medium, spreading shrub with green, elliptical leaves and showy, cerise pink, pom-pom flowers. This wonderful, hardy plant grows from 0.3 to 1m high, but can reach 1.5m in suitable well-drained sites. It provides a gorgeous display of colour in autumn and spring and will attract insects. Ideal for borders, feature plants and for large pots. Light pruning after flowering will encourage denser growth and increased flowering the following year. It will grow in dry sandy loam, sandy gravel, clay loam, gravelly loam and sandy clay. Origin – Northern Wheatbelt and Murchison.
