Medium upright shrub with linear, silvery-green leaves and soft, lavender, tubular flowers with a white throat. A hardy shrub with a profusion of pretty flowers that contrast well with the grey-green foliage. It flowers from late winter to early summer and attracts nectar-feeding birds. It grows from 0.3 to 1.5m high and 0.5 to 1m wide in a variety of soils including sandy and stony loam, loam, sandy clay, clay loam and gravelly clay loam, growing naturally around granite outcrops, rocky breakaways and sandplains. It flowers best in full sun and tolerates moderate frost and drought. Low maintenance, but tip prune to maintain a more compact shape, if desired. Origin – Southern wheatbelt, Esperance and interior.
