A delightful, small multi-stemmed shrub with whorls of small green leaves along fine stems, and a brilliant display of mauve star flowers with dark maroon centres. This plant grows from 0.3m to 0.5m high with upright and arching stems. It looks wonderful along a border, cascading over rocks and in cottage gardens, and is an excellent plant for pots. Mulch well to suppress weeds and to keep the root zone cool. It prefers part shade and some protection and benefits from summer moisture but will tolerate full sun. It grows in sandy and gravelly soils and clay loam. Origin – eastern Victoria, New South Wales and south-eastern Queensland.
