A medium shrub with broad, softly hairy, light green, oak-shaped leaves and clusters of white, crepey flowers with maroon centres. This attractive shrub grows from 0.5 to 1.5m high and 1 to 2m wide and flowers in spring to early summer. It adapts to sand, limestone sand, loam, gravelly loam, sandy loam, clay loam and rocky loam. A lovely soft plant to add interest to any garden and to blend with more traditional, broad leaved garden species. It grows in full sun and tolerates coastal conditions, shade and moderate drought. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape. Priority Flora. Origin – South Coast.
