Verticordia mitchelliana – Rapier Featherflower

Medium shrub with small, linear blue-green leaves and a stunning display of bright red featherflowers with unusually long styles. It flowers from late winter to early summer and is best in full sun. A wonderful species to provide a vivid splash of colour to the garden. It is drought tolerant and requires a well-drained soil, including sand, sandy loam and gravelly loam to avoid fungal infection. Mulch with gravel. Origin – Eastern wheatbelt and mallee.
