Verticordia plumosa – Plumed Featherflower

A medium shrub with terminal clusters of beautiful pink or mauve featherflowers and fine, aromatic blue-green leaves. This hardy plant flowers in winter and spring and grows to about 1m tall in open sunny positions in well-drained loam, sandy loam, clay loam, gravelly loam and sandy clay. It provides a lovely display in any garden and is useful for landscaping and bush restoration. Several varieties and colour forms exist. Origin – granite outcrops in jarrah forest and woodland along the Darling Range and inland south coast.
